Who is the creator of Aquascapedia?
Hi, I’m Mette Tulin, the woman behind Aquacapedia!
I have had several aquariums for more than ten years and started the hobby myself as a teenager. From the beginning, I have been fascinated by beautiful aquascapes and the underwater landscapes you can create: small ecosystems where plants, hardscape, and life interact.
Aquascapedia is built on the curiosity and passion that arose back then, and which has only grown since.

It all started with shrimp
My particular interest in this hobby began with shrimp.
I love shrimp, especially Neocaridina davidi, which comes in countless color morphs. They are small, detailed, and incredibly beautiful, and they clearly show how much variety and life can be found even in the smallest aquariums.

The story behind the logo
Aquascapedia’s logo is no coincidence.
It depicts a Neocaridina davidi in the color Green Jade, one of the most unique colors in the species. And, if you ask me, one of the most beautiful!
